![]() ![]() ![]() Now that they are not splitting their time between v1 and v2, hopefully v2 gets features and fixes more often than v1 did lately. For the past week, Affinity has been teasing a big announcement. If you want to work on a photo shoot, like you could with Adobe Bridge or Lightroom, it’s not great.īut, each app also has really great stuff too. So, if you want to work on a single RAW file, cool. And there is still no autotrace at all.Īffinity Photo has lots of camera RAW tools but what it does not have is a way to import a ton of photos from a shoot and sort them. They just dodged that feature for years in v1. Mesh perspective warping, which is pretty basic, is new to v2. It does not have every feature from every app you have ever loved, so if you don’t want to get burned, a thorough trial run is important.įor example, it was only a year or so back that Affinity Designer got an Offset Path tool, which is absolutely critical for some kinds of laser projects. I would recommend that anyone who is interested check out the trial. My $99 universal license is probably going to get me 4-5 years of updates across 3 apps on 3 platforms. The Affinity suite is not perfect, but it’s pretty good, and the price is right. I have been using v1 for a while and decided to buy in to v2.
